Carolyn Stallard is a Brooklyn-based music performer, instructor, and songwriter. She has performed on and taught percussion (mallets, drum set, snare, timpani, hand drums, etc.) since 2004. As a percussionist she has performed with various professional orchestras and wind ensembles (Albany Symphony Orchestra, Schenectady Symphony Orchestra, Manhattan Wind Symphony, Brooklyn Wind Symphony, etc.), theater groups (Troy Civic Theater), jazz ensembles (Glenn Baldwin's Friends of Jazz, Bill Wilkinson and the Long Island "Sound" Swing Band, Domino Sugar Pushers, Gals Who Play Jazz, Brooklyn College Big Band, Saint Rose Jazz Ensemble, etc.), singer-songwriters (Reggie Harris, Alethea Buchal, Grammy-nominated Pat Wictor), and brass bands (New Heights Brass Band, Escalation Horns, Brassdom, Hungry March Band). She also writes and performs children's music on ukulele, teaches music survey courses at Brooklyn College, and is a featured artist on www.downwrite.com.
